Beekeeping was on my wish list for many years before I moved to Vermont. I studied books on the topic and once I even contacted Burt Bees in Wisconsin, hoping to visit their bees. Turned out, they didn't having bees (what?)! A rant I will save for another time. So when Prince Charming finally said
yes to being my beekeeper partner, I could not have been more thrilled. Sadly, after a fun summer of beekeeping we found out the hard way that I was allergic. Don't worry we still have bees, I keep a safe distance, and certainly love enjoying the sweet floral gold. This year we harvested 27 pounds!
